Early Policy Reforms & Advocacy
- AHMA has defended the integrity of Ayurveda since its founding.
- presented the Hon. Governor with the Public Health Bill's shortcomings.
- led the Aparajita Sandhya demonstration against misinformation in the media.
- fought against the 2009 Kerala Health Centers Regulation Bill and used legal action to have it repealed.
AHMA General Secretary Dr. Baby Krishnan was appointed to the state committee by court order, securing official representation for Ayurveda.
Developing Cooperation & Representation
- Dr. Sanalkumar Kurinjikkattil, the State President of AHMA, is currently a member of Kerala's Industry Relations Committee (IRC).
brought all AYUSH professionals together under a single voice for collective policy action by forming the united Aikya Vedi.
Digital Health & Innovation
- introduced Ayur Line, a teleconsultation platform that uses the postal system to deliver medications during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Free Ayurvedic medications were given out throughout the state to assist patients and participating hospitals.
Welfare & Social Responsibility
- launched Sainik Mitram, an ongoing medical assistance program for Air Force members and their families.
provided humanitarian aid in times of public health emergencies and natural disasters.
Acknowledgments & Studies
- To promote innovation, the Dr. Baby Krishnan Memorial Research Foundation, the AHMA Scholar Award, and the Young AHMA Award were established.
- established the Dr. Baby Krishnan Memorial Trophy in an effort to enhance clinical documentation in Ayurvedic medical facilities.
Career Advancement
- Volume II of the AHMA Directory 2024 of member hospitals will be released soon.
- arranged the first Ayurvedic Training & Accreditation Board-certified program in Kerala.
- started the Colloquium, a platform that brings together various medical specialties.
runs a Legal Help Desk to assist and ensure hospital compliance.
Leadership in Sustainability and Quality
- Ayurvedic hospitals were moved from the Orange to the Green Category in collaboration with the Pollution Control Board.
- invited the CEO and directors of NABH to Kerala in order to facilitate NABH awareness sessions.
Kerala is currently one of the states with the greatest number of Ayurvedic hospitals accredited by the NABH.
Legal Recognition & Insurance
- established the first Ayurvedic Insurance Committee in India in 2016.
CGHS and other insurers adopted the submitted protocols, making AHMA the first Ayurvedic organization invited to national insurance discussions.
A Prominent Example of Excellence
- Shaurya Chakra awardees hurt in the Mumbai terror attack received full Ayurvedic rehabilitation, regaining their health under the guidance of Manesh Ji Ahmed and Dr. Vijayan.
