Advancing Quality Standards in Ayurveda Healthcare

On June 16, 2025, the Quality Council of India (QCI), in collaboration with the Ayurveda Hospital Management Association (AHMA) – Kannur Branch, organized the Gunvatta Yatra in Kannur, Kerala, as part of a national initiative to promote quality standards in Ayush healthcare. The session focused on the importance of implementing NABH Ayush Accreditation and Certification across Ayurveda hospitals and clinics, with discussions covering mandatory requirements, step-by-step procedures, and the role of accreditation in advancing patient safety, service excellence, and India’s long-term healthcare vision under Viksit Bharat 2047. Eminent experts, including Shri Venugopal C (Advisor, NBQP) and Dr. Gajendra Todakar (Principal Assessor, NABH), led the program, engaging more than 40 healthcare professionals representing Ayurveda hospitals and clinics from Kannur, Kasaragod, and Wayanad. The event was further supported by national healthcare leadership from QCI, including Jaxay Shah, Vipin Sondhi, Rizwan Koita, Kannan Chakravarthy, Hema Bhandari, Dr. Atul Mohan Kochhar, and Dr. Aishvarya Raj, reinforcing the collective commitment to building a reliable, high-quality traditional healthcare ecosystem in India.
