6th AHMA State Conference & Awards Ceremony 2024
The 6th AHMA State Conference and 17th Annual General Body Meeting was held on 27 & 28 January 2024 at KGA Elite Continental Hotel, Thiruvalla. The two-day event brought together leading Ayurvedic hospital representatives, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and AYUSH dignitaries from across the state and nation.
As part of the conference, AHMA Best Hospital Awards and the Dr. Baby Krishnan Memorial AHMA Young Scholar Award were presented, recognizing excellence in Ayurvedic hospital management, clinical practice, and academic contribution. The conference also featured seminars, clinical case presentations, medical camps, and a representative conference, making it a landmark gathering that celebrated quality, innovation, and leadership in Ayurveda.
Dr. Baby Krishnan Memorial AHMA Young Scholar Award
Dr. Baby Krishnan, the Founder Secretary of the Ayurveda Hospital Management Association (AHMA), was a visionary leader whose lifelong dedication shaped the growth and strength of the organisation. His efforts unified Ayurvedic hospitals under a single platform and brought national attention to key issues such as health policy reforms, medical insurance inclusion, minimum wages, and the fight against quackery. His foresight also led to the launch of APTA, a respected scientific journal in Ayurveda.
In honour of his enduring legacy, AHMA instituted the Dr. Baby Krishnan Memorial AHMA Young Scholar Award, an All-India level research paper and poster presentation competition for Ayurvedic postgraduate scholars. This initiative provides young talents a prestigious platform to showcase original research, academic excellence, and innovation in Ayurveda, while continuing the values and vision championed by Dr. Baby Krishnan.
