NABH Ayurveda Quality Initiative

On June 22, 2025, the Quality Council of India (QCI) in association with the Ayurveda Hospital Management Association (AHMA), Kottayam, conducted the Gunvatta Yatra in Kottayam, focusing on NABH Ayush Accreditation and Certification for Ayurvedic healthcare institutions. The session highlighted the essential components of Ayush Accreditation, procedures involved in NABH Certification, and practical strategies for implementing NABH Standards in Ayurvedic hospitals and clinical practice. Emphasis was placed on how quality-driven healthcare can contribute to the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 through the Quality Bharat initiative.

The event featured insightful presentations by Mr. Venugopal C (Advisor, NBQP) and Dr. Reji Kumar (Principal Assessor, NABH & State Nodal Officer, Govt. of Kerala), who addressed key requirements and opportunities within the accreditation process. The program concluded with participants taking the Quality Bharat Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening quality in Ayurveda, followed by a networking lunch. The initiative was supported by the leadership of Jaxay Shah, Vipin Sondhi, Rizwan Koita, Kannan Chakravarthy, Hema Bhandari, Dr. Atul Mohan Kochhar, and Dr. Aishvarya Raj of the Quality Council of India.
