Kerala’s Tribute to Our Real Heroes
The Sainikamithram Project by AHMA honors the brave soldiers, ex-servicemen, and their families who have selflessly served the nation. Life in the armed forces is unique – rigorous training, long deployments, high-alert duties, and constant physical and mental challenges leave lasting effects on both body and mind. Even after retirement, many veterans face chronic pain, joint stiffness, sleep disturbances, and emotional stress. AHMA believes they deserve not only medical care but also recognition, respect, and compassionate support.
Through this initiative, AHMA-accredited Ayurvedic hospitals across Kerala provide personalized treatments, specially subsidized packages, priority consultations, one-on-one counseling, and holistic wellness support for family members. Every treatment is designed to restore health while expressing gratitude for the dedication and sacrifices of these heroes and their families.
For those requiring hospitalization (inpatient treatment), the scheme offers a 25% discount on total treatment costs, including room charges, treatment fees, and doctor consultations. Outpatient services are not included. To avail the benefits, a valid service certificate confirming the individual as a serving or retired defense personnel must be presented.
Eligibility for dependents includes close family members such as parents, spouse, children, and siblings. Dependents must be listed on the serviceman’s or ex-serviceman’s ration card and have an annual income below two lakh rupees.
The Sainikamithram Project is already making a positive impact across Kerala. Veterans and their families have expressed that receiving care through this initiative makes them feel recognized and valued – a true reflection of AHMA’s commitment to their health, dignity, and well-being.
